After significant consideration, due to circumstances beyond their control, The Dead South is being forced to cancel all of their UK shows after Dublin on November 2nd.
This will include Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Bristol, and Plymouth.

Danny Kenyon and his wife, Rene, are expecting their first child. The child was due to be born at the end of November, but due to health concerns for the baby, doctors are going to deliver him early to care for him outside the womb. This was completely unexpected, and of course Danny needs to be there for this early birth, which will now take place on November 4.

The band is completely gutted to have to do this but, of course, family comes first and we hope you and all our promoters understand this is a decision that absolutely had to be made. Our concerns are with Danny and Rene and the baby.

The band is completely booked up for 2024, making it impossible to find a window for rescheduling the tour in any kind of timely manner, so we feel it best to cancel these shows and refund fans.

Statement from the band:

Hello fans in Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Bristol, and Plymouth. We are very sorry to announce that we are having to cancel all of these shows.

Our beloved Danny and his wife are expecting their first child. For the health and safety of the baby, he is due to be born much earlier than expected and, of course, Danny needs to be there. We’re gutted to have to cancel these shows, but family comes first, and we really hope you understand that this is the decision that absolutely has to be made at this time.

We’d like to make it up to you by offering you first crack at tickets when they go on sale the next time we come to the UK, likely in the first half of 2025.

Portsmouth Guildhall will be processing refunds for existing ticket holders… We love you and miss you and hope to see you as soon as we can.
