It’s been a long time in the planning but at last we’re delighted to announce the launch night in our newest (old) venue, in our favourite town – The Studio @ The Petersfield School (TPS) in (obviously) Petersfield!
We have many friends who travel down from the area who have often said to us “Why don’t you put on some of your Americana shows in Petersfield?!”…and having put on a few shows at TPS many many years ago, we thought “what a great idea!”… and the result of that is this amazing showcase of some of our favourite Americana acts all in one show!
The Studio @ TPS really is a great venue – it’s a purpose made art and music facility, within the grounds of The Petersfield School, and it has oodles of free on site parking for everyone, as well as comfortable seating and it’s own bar.
“One of the UK’s ‘must see’ live roots acts. A discernible quality oozing from every groove. Delving into the myriad roots of Americana and British music and serving it up with an originality and respect that is as heartening as it is refreshing!” (Fatea Magazine)
One of the UK Americana scenes’ most arresting new bands, The Jigantics are part of a growing group of contemporary artists appealing to a wide range of music followers who are increasingly looking beyond conventional musical stereotypes, and just enjoying a fusion of great songs, stunning harmonies and fine musicianship.
In this case its a genre defying mix of Roots, Cajun, Blues, Trad, Country and then some!
“A fabulous fusion of cajun, rock, folk and Americana that blew the socks off our audience. Absolute class.” (Steve Sheldon, FolkIcons.co.uk)

Goat Roper Rodeo Band
“With just two old guitars, an upright bass and a bucket full of aching harmony, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band are out there preaching ‘country blues’, like you’ve never heard!”
We first caught up with this terrific three piece at 2014’s Maverick Festival, where we were faintly surprised to see that they’d been given a headline spot on the Americana Music Association UK Peacock stage – suffice to say once they’d finished their set we knew exactly why they were accorded that honour, blowing everyone away with their infectious energy and songs of pure musical joy. Our immediate response after the show was to buy their CD straight away, and then someone who hadn’t seen them asked us to describe them to which we responded – “The Everly Brothers on speed!!”.
With an awe inspiring ‘live show’ that’s guaranteed to raise the roof, swinging from the most tender heartfelt paean to the blues, to the highest full throttle, barn storming, juke joint boogie stompers, theirs is a show that’s wowing audiences across the land.
“The Goat Ropers are the real deal! I was blown away when I first saw them play and heard them harmonise, I wanted desperately to join in. If there’s any justice in this crazy world, they’ll soon be a household name and we’ll all be keeping it country with them” (Romeo Stodart- The Magic Numbers)

“This new country girl group are already making a huge impact!” (Ticketweb)
Founded in early 2017, singer-songwriters Hannah Rose Platt, Emily Moment and Rebecca Rosewell formed Alt-Country all-girl group The Savannahs. Inspired by acts like Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Gillian Welch and many more, The Savannahs lend their beautiful harmonies to a mix of both originals and roots covers.
They recently appeared on BBC 1’s “Pitch Battle” and we’re really excited to have them play for us all – you’ll be knocked out by their beautiful voices!
“The Savannahs are destined for superstardom! Perfect!”
